The Lancashire Care Dental Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic highly motivated Receptionist to join our dental team. We provide a number of services including special care, urgent care, paediatric dentistry and teaching across Central and East Lancashire. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills; initiative drive and the ability to work within a team.
The post will also be required to work across Central, East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen, to assist in the excellent delivery of Dental Care. You should also have effective interpersonal skills enabling you to communicate with people at all levels, face to face and over the telephone. The base for this post will be at Oak House Dental Centre, however we also work closely with the team at Bacup PHCC. Oak House operates 365 days of the year between 08.30am to 9.30pm and also delivers treatment at the weekends and Bank Holidays. This is due to us delivering urgent care treatment in and out of hours.
Therefore, this post may require you to work flexibly over 7 days including working evenings/weekends and bank holidays. This is done on a rota basis to allow cover when required.

To efficiently assist with the daily running of dental treatment services for the Lancashire Care Dental Service. This will include all aspects of booking appointments, dealing with telephone and counter enquiries from the public, other health care professionals and other dentists. To undertake various clerical duties including providing clerical assistance to clinicians and senior staff.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
